Elite Daily V2 – Max Loss Limit (MLL)

This article explains about the Max Loss Limit (MLL) on the Elite Daily V2 Accounts

The Max Loss Limit (MLL) is the maximum total loss your account can sustain before it is permanently breached. Unlike the Daily Loss Limit, the MLL is based on an End of Day (EOD) trailing drawdown model.

Good to know: the MLL level moves up only at the end of the trading day, based on your closing balance, and locks in at your starting balance + $100 once your account has grown enough. The breach level is checked in real time. If your equity goes at or below it at any moment, the account is breached. There are no warnings when the MLL is breached.

How the End of Day Trailing Drawdown Works

The MLL follows a trailing model, but it only adjusts at the end of each trading day. This means:

  • Your breach level is active from the moment you start: starting balance minus your max drawdown (e.g. $50,000 − $2,000 = $48,000).

  • It trails upward as your account reaches new highs.

  • It moves up only at the end of the day, based on your closing balance. Intraday highs don’t move it.

  • It does not move down if your balance decreases.

  • The breach level is checked in real time. If your equity goes at or below it at any moment, the account is breached.

As your account grows, the drawdown level locks in at your starting balance + $100 and does not continue to trail.

Example: $50K Evaluation Account

Step

Amount

Starting balance

$50,000

MLL

$2,000

Initial breach level

$50,000 - $2,000 = $48,000

You close Day 1 at

$52,000

New trailing level

$52,000 - $2,000 = $50,000

Before Day 1 closes, your breach level is already $48,000. From the next day, if your equity goes at or below $50,000 at any moment, the account is breached.

Example: intraday dip

Breach level

$48,000

Your equity drops during the day to

$47,500

Result

Breached, even if the day would have closed at $48,500

Example: $100K Funded Account

MLL

$2,500

Initial breach level

$97,500

You close the day at

$108,000

New breach level

$100,100 (the drawdown locks at the starting balance + $100)

From then on, if your equity goes at or below $100,100 at any moment, the account is terminated.

What Happens If You Hit the Max Loss Limit?

If your account equity goes at or below the breach level at any time, the account is permanently breached and trading access is removed. There are no warnings when the MLL is breached.
